The large front deck on this forest service cabin looks out to Lovers Leap climbing area and forest land. It sits in the Eldorado National Forest, is just a short walk to the American River, and Strawberry Station for a coffee or chat. You can easily use this cabin as a basecamp to explore and play in the mountains, hike, bike, ski, climb, fish, swim. There is a firepit out back, and a charismatic rock fire place inside. Beautiful classic cabin feel with lots of wonderful wood, vaulted ceilings, propane heat, on demand water heater. There is a bedroom downstairs and a large loft upstairs. The advertised sqft does not include the size of the loft as the forest service only records foot print size.
